Paralympic swimmer Josef Craig competed at London 2012 aged just 15 and won gold in a world record time in the men's 400m freestyle event.  He won bronze in the Men's 100m freestyle S8 final in Rio.

The Tyne and Wear athlete, who has cerebral palsy, was introduced to disability swimming at the age of nine and began entering competitions a few years later. Josef was Great Britain's youngest gold medallist at London 2012, an achievement which led to him being named BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year for 2012.

After bursting on the scene at his first Paralympics, Josef continues to be a strong figure on the British Para-Swimming Team. He has gone on to win two golds and one silver medal at the 2013 World Championships and two bronze medals at the 2014 European Championships.
